User reviews for Madewell’s iOS app show widespread stability and usability problems. The most recurring issues are login/sign-in failures, slow performance and crashes, broken size filtering (notably tall/taller with waist sizes) and missing sizing charts. Customers also report missing or non-working store availability/in-store pickup features and checkout/payment failures. Some uplift comes from the app’s visuals and basic shopping ability when it works, but overall the experience is frequently frustrating and unreliable.

i’m sorry to the developers but this app is trying to do too much and it’s actually terrible. even worse since the upgrade. when you filter by tall / taller, and then by 27/28, for example, it brings up allllll the standards and petites. the only way to truly filter by tall is to NOT add in any waist sizes. so then you have to click into every single item to see if they have your size. which they never do with talls and tallers. also if you click an item and switch it to tall, then switch it back to regular to read reviews, the reviews disappear. so you have to click out of the item completely and click back in to read reviews. i could go on. i only used it for 5-10 minutes and found so many bugs. please do a thorough QA esp with your filtering system. also, i’ve said this for like 10 years but i’ll keep saying it— madewell, your obsession final sale, esp with tall sizes, is out. of. control. i’ve avoided buying dozens and dozens of pants on sale bc THEYRE ALWAYS FINAL SALE. in talls. which is outrageous bc talls are always sold out anyway, so it’s not like you’d have trouble selling them. it’s just greedy.
