MUT Ancient Cultures Tübingen

Discover MUT Ancient Cultures at Hohentübingen Castle, home to about 40,000 years of cultural history and around 4,600 exhibits from seven University of Tübingen collections. Highlights include UNESCO World Heritage Ice Age Art and the Pile Dwellings, plus the Egyptian offering chamber of Seschemnefer III and the Tübingen Hoplite, all displayed in about 2,000 m².

The companion app helps you plan your visit with opening hours, directions, and admission information, with multilingual audio tours (German, English, and Chinese) and a children’s tour with stories from the Ice Age, Old Egypt and Ancient Greece. It also offers highlight tours and serves as a central hub for the university’s archaeology and cultural history collections around 70 main collections and roughly 135 partial collections.
