User Reviews

QZ is highly praised for bridging diverse home fitness gear with Zwift, Peloton classes, and Strava, often without a subscription. Reviewers repeatedly highlight Roberto's responsiveness and community support, broad compatibility, virtual shifting, and incline control, plus solid data export. Some users report device-specific glitches, a less intuitive UI, and occasional connectivity issues. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives for most setups.
Pros
  • Outstanding developer responsiveness and community support (Roberto), with fast help via email and the Facebook group.
  • Broad cross-brand compatibility: works with Echelon, Yesoul, Keiser, Horizon treadmill, Peloton-class bridging, and more, enabling Zwift, Strava, and Apple Health integration.
  • Virtual shifting and auto incline/resistance adjustments improve training realism across supported hardware.
  • No ongoing subscription required; a one-time purchase with easy data export to Strava and Apple Health.
Cons
  • Some devices experience partial functionality or stability issues, leading to frustration (e.g., NordicTrack).
  • UI/UX is criticized as confusing or clunky with difficult navigation in some reviews.
  • Occasional connectivity or integration hiccups with Strava or external services and mentions of API/key limitations; not all features work seamlessly.

Have been using this app for years - works great and the support is better than any app I ever experienced. Love it!

Bought the app and installed it on my Nordictrack. Can only get 80% of the functionality to work. Contacted the developer on Facebook, did a bunch of debug and still can’t get it to work. Developer asked me to jump to another monthly subscription and still not working. Stay away from this guy.

This app allowed an Echelon bike, in a small apartment building gym, to be used with third party apps. A firmware change made this impossible, but the developer worked diligantly to find a solution. The app now allows the formally practically useless Echelon bike to become a “virtual” smart bike. I cannot praise enough the developers responsiveness to queries nor how customizable and how perfectly the app works.
