The Medical Eye Trainer is specially developed software designed to train the visual system. It is easy to use and can be accessed anytime and anywhere. The app is suitable for people with normal as well as impaired vision. It is particularly relevant for the dry form of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The app is intended solely as a training tool to support visual perception and overall well-being, without influencing medical decisions. Its suitability for AMD has been examined in two clinical studies. The Medical Eye Trainer is MDR-certified as a medical device. After purchase, there are no ongoing costs.

The software is a special, medical product and may only be used after indication and explanation by an eye specialist. Strictly adhere to the operating instructions. The use of the M.E.T. without the guidance of an ophthalmologist is prohibited. In rare cases, the use of the M.E.T. may cause epilepsy for the first time. If you or a relative has a known epilepsy or other seizure disorder, the use of this software is prohibited. If you experience eye tremors, nausea, eye surface irritation, dizziness, double vision, muscle twitching, disorientation, loss of consciousness, cerebral palsy, or epilepsy while using this product, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. If these symptoms exist prior to therapy, use of Medical Eye Trainer (M.E.T.) is also prohibited. In case of known epilepsy or any other cerebral seizure disorder in relatives, participation is also not possible. The software may be used for the first ten applications only under the supervision of another person who is not at risk of epilepsy. If the software is well tolerated, supervision is no longer necessary after the eleventh application. By using the software, you confirm that you have read and understood the operating instructions and that no questions remain unanswered, that you will only use the software after an ophthalmologist has given an indication and clarification and only under the supervision of an ophthalmologist in accordance with the conditions of use and in accordance with the operating instructions. You may only use the terminal device on which the software is running and the associated power supply unit if they are undamaged. When using the end device, adhere to the operating instructions of the device manufacturer. The content and exercises provided in this software are intended solely for general eye health promotion and relaxation. They are not a substitute for professional ophthalmologic examination, diagnosis, or treatment. Despite the utmost care taken in the development and provision of the exercises, no guarantee can be given regarding their effectiveness, accuracy, or suitability for every individual user. In particular, no assurance or liability is accepted that the use of the Medical Eye Trainer (M.E.T.) app can prevent, improve, or cure any eye diseases or disorders. Users are explicitly advised to consult an ophthalmologist or other qualified eye care professional immediately if they experience any discomfort, pain, vision problems, or suspect an eye condition.
