The PESI iOS app is largely plagued by stability and playback problems: crashes, sign-in issues, and lost progress when downloading. It often stops working when multitasking or locking the screen. In-app search/navigation is weak, making it hard to find or sign up for courses. Although some users value mobile access to PESI content and CEUs, the app’s reliability and feature gaps drive frustration and call for a major overhaul.

Ongoing reliability issues persist despite updates (JSON errors, slow performance, outdated feel).

Recent reviews

The media player (whether video or just audio, streamed or downloaded) is so bad. It doesn’t remember where you left off so it restarts you at the beginning. It closes down if you pause it for more than a minute, so if you pause it you better memorize your timestamp in the presentation. Sometimes it just won’t play the media, even after restarting the app. Every time you have to access your material, you start from the very first page. This requires you to paw through several menus and any class you’ve ever purchased to get to the one you were listening/watching. Then you have to find the segment of the lecture you were consuming, and finally recall what the timestamps was left at 65 seconds after you paused it. Terrible user experience, PESI needs to put some effort into making this a worth while app. It gets 2 stars instead of one from me, because I’m glad they made an app at all. It’s a bump up from having to do all this on the website.

The app is so glitching. I was hoping it would be easy to do my CE on the road but it is very difficult.

The app worked for a while. Then it completely stopped and now it won’t even let me sign in. That’s frustrating because there are a number of webinars I was gearing up to watch. There are some I purchased and can’t get to because of this as well.
