HypeRate shows potential for streamers with quick setup and OBS-friendly features, and several users report it works well in live setups. However, feedback is mixed: many users struggle with device discovery and pairing, heart-rate data often not appearing or unreliable, and the app can be unstable with freezes or crashes. There are also limitations around hardware compatibility, including removal of support for older watchOS versions. The app may be useful for some users, but it needs substantial debugging and broader device support to be dependable for the wider user base.

Recent reviews

The sign into Twitch button does not work but will react to touch. There is no button to search for devices or any automatic communication between devices sync session ID’s. More app developer testing is needed instead of forum discussions on Discord. Unfortunately downloading a second app to get the first one to work properly is redundant in this age of app development. Best of luck in improving future features.

Setup was quick and easy, and seems to be working fine in the few tests I’ve done so far. Looking forward to seeing how it performs when I actually go live with it.
