Or maybe people are just technology challenged. You can turn the light on and off with the power button in the app, and you can pretty easily set your own custom schedule, with your own custom colors and brightness. I have mine set to wake up dimly, then it goes full light, then I have it dim again for a mid day break, then full light, then night mode. Set my own colors and everything, you just have to understand how to use the app.

This app is so poor, it does complete shame to what is otherwise a very decent light. Completely not intuitive. Full of bugs and unpredictable behavior. Such a shame.
