User Reviews

Indoor Bouldering is praised for being free, easy to use, and effective at tracking climbs and progress, with beginner-friendly climbing lingo. However, multiple reviews point to missing media attachments, a need for richer notes on climbs/sessions, and occasional history or data stability issues. The core tracking is solid, but users repeatedly ask for media support, enhanced notes, and improved data reliability.
Pros
  • Free to use and ad-free
  • Simple, easy-to-use tracking interface
  • Strong progress tracking for climbs (level, attempts, sessions)
  • Helpful onboarding with climbing lingo for beginners
  • Lightweight, focused on tracking without clutter
Cons
  • Missing ability to attach photos or videos to climbs (media attachments)
  • Requests for richer notes or session notes on climbs
  • History/data loss and instability (data loss after reinstall or crashes)

App is simple and easy to use. Love looking back a few weeks back and get reminded of the climbs I have sent. There are some features that I hope to see in the future! Not sure where to leave feedbacks so I’ll leave them here. An option to “resume” an attempt would be nice so if I gave up initially and come back to it, I can simply up the attempt counter or mark it is “I sent it!” instead of having to do a new entry In additions to photos, what about videos? This can come in handy if someone asks me for betas and I can pull up my attempt from the app.

First. Love the app and I’m a supporter! Second, with the new update is there a way to go back to the small icon view? On bigger days where I’m doing lots of climbs, I really liked seeing them all in one place as a collection. There used to be a toggle between the two views and I’m not seeing that anymore.
