Most of us have either been directly impacted by the consequences of poor or dangerous driving, or we know someone who has. The DriverRater App aims to lower the number of deaths or injuries on the road. The primary means by which we will impact the bad habits of road users is by allowing road users to interact with other road users in a private and safe manner and by introducing a 5-star rating system through which a user of the App can have an influence on the behaviour of other road users. DriverRater is a social media platform based on vehicles as opposed to individuals The owners of those vehicles can interact with the owners of other vehicles while feeling secure in the knowledge that their private and personal information is not publicly available. This method also allows users to interact with corporate entities such as truck or transportation companies, as well as saving important information of road incidents on their device for private use. The addition of a dashcam feature helps clarify the actual circumstances of on road interactions.
