The app provides solid card organization and a functional scanning feature with quality per-card values, but is hampered by scanner reliability issues, costly storage upgrades, a cumbersome deck-building workflow, occasional crashes, and UX/export gaps. It remains strong when functioning, but core reliability and pricing issues limit its usefulness.

Scanner often fails to identify cards, requiring resets or manual work; unreliable after updates

Deck-building workflow is tedious: no bulk add; difficult to move scanned cards into decks
App can crash or camera goes black during use
Filtering/search UI is clunky and some filters don’t work; exporting data to CSV is limited

Recent reviews

Great app in totality. Holds prices, decent price point for what the app offers, and the scanning saves tons of time. For 5 stars though, there should be a method when scanning decks into a collection to make sure foils are scanned as foils even if it’s just a checkbox. There also is an issue with certain sets (Japanese Strixhaven Mystical Archive) not being in the app when searched or scanned. Lastly there should definitely be an option to export decks on their own instead of just the entire collection.

I love using Card Binder to store my collection and search for cards. I have used for years now but the current update broke the scanner. It locks up after just a couple of cards and needs to be reset making imputing a new set take FOREVER! A couple features that would be great. Would be the addition of filtering cards by sets, as well as the ability to add custom tags to cards that could be filtered.

Great app and I use it all the time. Since the recent update, my scanner won’t pickup my camera and I’ve check permissions. I can still manually add them via set list, but that is quite cumbersome for multiple reasons.
