The PepperJax iOS app shows persistent reliability problems across most core features: loyalty rewards are inconsistent or broken (points vanish, redemption fails), ordering is frequently blocked by freezes and location/search errors, QR code scanning for points doesn’t work, promo codes are not reliably accepted, and support channels are hard to reach. While a few users enjoy the food and occasional easy ordering, the recurring issues severely hamper the app experience.

Pros

Food quality is good and appealing offerings.
Some users find the ordering flow easy and the menu presentation decent.
The app is usable for ordering at times and can be clean/functional when it works.

Loyalty rewards/points system is inconsistent or broken: points disappear, thresholds change, redemption fails, activation issues.
App instability and ordering failures: frequent freezes, cannot place orders, location search failures, and broken support links.
QR code scanning and points tracking not working: scanners fail to read codes and points can't be earned via scanning.
Promo codes and promotions not reliable: codes not accepted at checkout and promotions can be outdated or stale.

Updated app absolutely sucks compared to the old one… worst part is I lost all my points after I got emails that said that I wouldn’t lose my account or my points. I LOST BOTH and had to create a new account. The reward system was a big draw for me. Guess I won’t be coming in as much anymore.

My birthday reward for the free entree is gone. Most of my points are gone. My free drink reward I was going to redeem is gone. Very frustrated.

UPDATE from new app rollout: still poorly functioning app. I do not know who they use for production and management on this - but they need to cancel their contract and find a better app processor. Whereas you used to have issues getting the order location selected, now you can’t even search locations for orders. You type in your address and quite literally get nothing. They’ve also switch to using “Toast” for delivery which I found to be incredibly unreliable, particularly the in app tracking. Not impressed. At least the last app’s issues would eventually cooperate. Using the app, whether or not you are ordering for pickup or delivery, it always freezes when trying to select the location to order from. Doesn’t matter if it’s using your phone location or your manually type it in. And then you try to get app support (through the link just below) and the page doesn’t exist, it gives a 404 error code.
