User Reviews

Players describe Shadow Of Samurai as having a promising retro vibe and potential, with some liking it for its nods to PS1-era games and Metal Gear Rising style. However, the game is plagued by heavy ad saturation—pre-start ads, frequent interstitial ads, and a persistent banner—that interrupts play and turns many players away. Buggy performance, including camera issues and getting stuck during fights, further detracts from the experience. A paywall for characters is noted by at least one reviewer, and some players want more content (more levels, free mode, better combat options).

Pros

Nostalgic retro vibe reminiscent of PS1-era games, with a Metal Gear Rising–like feel
Some players find the game pretty good and promising in concept
Appealing action-focused premise that appeals to fans of classic titles

Cons

Intrusive ads disrupt gameplay, with frequent interstitials and ads before starting
Persistent banner ads at the top of the screen
Bugs and camera issues that can cause getting stuck during fights

So I’m at the main menu I clicked play but it didn’t work

I almost never write reviews, but this game is special. You can’t play for more than 20-25 seconds without an ad. It is the most annoying thing ever. The game itself would be cool for a 90’s PS1 game, but those didn’t have ads. Fair warning.
