User Reviews

Big Alphabet Cards is praised for its simplicity and suitability for teaching early literacy. Users highlight its straightforward design and ability to tailor practice by selecting specific letters. However, several reviews note the free version is very limited (only 5 letters) and that many features require purchase, leading to a perception of a money grab. Despite the paywall, those willing to upgrade find value in the app for targeted letter practice.
Pros
  • Simple design and kid-friendly interface suitable for preschoolers
  • Strong educational value for early literacy and letter recognition (education-focused progress)
  • Customizable practice through settings (choose which letters to review; adjust number of letters shown)
Cons
  • Free version is limited to the first five letters; additional letters require purchase
  • Paywall nature of the app with many features behind a paywall; described by users as a money grab
  • Some paid features (e.g., voice option) may not work or perform as expected
Recent reviews
Only good for the first five letters. Then you have to buy the rest. Not worth it.

This is such a basic app, but they made it a money grab. Lame.

I don’t like how you can’t go backwards to review a card and have to go out and back into it and start over
