User Reviews

Bricksee’s reviews show poor reliability: it often misidentifies bricks and colors, delivers inconsistent scan results, and suffers from bugs that can wipe progress. Pricing and subscriptions are criticized as hidden or expensive, with users preferring Brickit or even Google. A few call out a decent interface and potential, but reliability and cost are the main obstacles.
Pros
  • Potential to identify parts and build a digital inventory when it works.
  • Nice overall interface / user experience.
  • The concept could be a strong tool for rebuilding Lego sets if reliability improves.
Cons
  • Highly inaccurate identification of bricks, colors, and piece counts; results are inconsistent across scans.
  • Frequent bugs and reliability issues, including progress loss and limited functionality (e.g., cannot delete or edit after scanning).
  • Payment/subscription concerns: paywalls, subscriptions without explicit permission, and perceived high costs.
  • Competitors (Brickit, Google) often perform better, according to users.
  • Specific misidentifications (e.g., white bricks identified as green; 2x12 misidentified as bat wing) show flaws in color/part recognition.

I have a Lego set that I have no idea what it it came from you I think this is the worst app I have ever downloaded.

Barely got anything correct when I tested it. Even with the simplest pieces and closest clearest photos of them, it got nothing or at least nearly nothing right. So disappointing. I had really high hopes for this app possibly being the greatest way to rebuild many sets I have destroyed. I hoped to scan all my pieces and add to digital collection and see what I can build and what pieces I’m missing easily, but this app can’t even correctly identify one piece by itself.

This app is inconsistent in identifying colors and the scan function for part identification is all over the place. 1 star is too generous
