The Ichthyosis Scoring System (ISS) is a comprehensive and user-friendly instrument for assessing the extent and clinical severity of ichthyosis across the entire body. It is designed for use in clinical trials, research and clinical practice to assess severity and response to treatments. We make it easy for researchers and physicians to calculate a severity score for adults and children with ichthyosis.

The ISS was conceived and developed by Keith Choate, Amy Paller and Mary Sun in response to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's recommendation for an ichthyosis severity assessment tool that can score the entire body surface, with scoring categories tailored to FDA guidelines.
