I have used this app for almost a full year. I did have a problem and for some reason, my own fault I used two different email addresses, so I was only getting the use of three photos to identify the crystal that I had. The app support people contacted me in a very timely and professional manner, and got the situation fixed right away and now I’m back in business. Thank you for all of your help support.

I tried this app to see if it would correctly identify two crystals - bloodstone and Iolite. I made sure the was focused and well lit and It identified them both as obsidian but at the same time it noted that they were not in their database. Unfortunately there are better apps out there.

Free version only allows 3 “identifications” even if it is not able to identify stones/gems it still uses up one of the 3. So if you’re looking for an app that you can use for free to identify stones this is NOT the one. If you’re looking for an app that has a library of previously identified stones it’s ok but not for stones you have that you are unsure of
