User Reviews
Pros
- Extremely useful for head anatomy study, portrait references, lighting and perspective, with multiple head models and consistent orientation.
- Free version is genuinely usable and free of ads, with adjustable proportions, lighting, and perspective grids.
- Ability to switch between head models, preserve lighting/orientation, and use isolated facial parts makes it a strong study tool.
- App is artist‑driven, well‑made, and many reviewers plan to purchase to support the creator.
Cons
- Heavy paywall: many features are paywalled; pricing is perceived as high; ongoing subscription models are a turn‑off; some users expected a lower price or a one‑time fee.
- Missing features and content requests: nose tilt option, jaw guidelines, full‑body models, more ages/hairstyles.
- Family‑sharing/policy issues and unclear licensing on multi‑device use; some users report it contradicts listings.
- Occasional crashes and stability concerns mentioned by a minority of users.

I especially like the simplified skull to help keep me from getting side tracked in all the nooks and crannies of real skulls. The new aging face references that are starting to roll out in the app look interesting!
I’m still experimenting in it. I didn’t give 5 stars because I wish the tutorial part of the app focused less on teaching the Loomis method and taught beginners to see the skull in boxes and then build it out of the box. I’ve felt for a long time that Loomis Method is more of an intermediate step that once perspective has become somewhat intuitive than Loomis is helpful. But if it helps you, don’t mind me, and go with it. :)
