User Reviews

The app is praised for its simple, non-calorie approach focused on food groups and easy daily logging, which supports regular eating and is suitable for athletes or those recovering from disordered eating. However, several reviews point to recurring downsides: the free version limits history and long-term insights, categorization and portion tracking are limited, and data export/sharing options are lacking. These trade-offs between simplicity and feature depth drive the most common user feedback.
Pros
  • Simple, clean UX that avoids calorie counting and feels non-overwhelming
  • Helps users maintain regular eating patterns and balance, useful for athletes and those recovering from disordered eating
  • Focus on food groups with quick journaling, including photo-based logging
  • Built-in water tracker with adjustable daily goals
Cons
  • Free tier limits access to past entries/history; users must subscribe to see long-term data
  • Lack of long-term insights and week/7–30 day trends without paying or upgrading
  • Limited food categorization and quantification; no multi-serving logging and missing categories like drinks or desserts
  • Difficulty exporting or sharing data with nutritionists or viewing weekly patterns; features seem gated behind a paywall

Really like the design and experience. I appreciate that there aren’t calories, no looking up items and encouraging toxic diet culture… but I am frustrated by some SMALL tweaks that could be easily changed. I would love the ability to: - add multiple portions of a food group —> so I can see, oh I’ve had 3 carb portions already today - create more categories of food groups: would love drinks, sweets.. - view the entire meal title when looking at the day (right now it cuts off.. so if you have more than a few words you can’t see it at a glance.. ie., oatmeal, peanut butter and an apple) - I can’t seem to find the view where I can see a week of food or food groups or how I felt after meals at a glance, although I see it described in the update.

I am so so happy I found this app. I am recovered from disordered eating but also want to eat healthier, generally get an idea of how I am eating, and make sure I am eating enough since I’m a D1 athlete. This app is super helpful as I work on my nutrition and work with my nutritionist. This app is so so perfect for that, I love how straight forward and not overwhelming it is. it has a lot of the features I want- and avoids exactly what I need to avoid (like calorie tracking, exercise goals, or rating foods as healthy or unhealthy)

I can’t afford a subscription service right now, I was hoping this would be a one time payment app. I hate all these new subscription stuff. The worst part is, the free version would be great if I could see my past journals for more than a week. Glad I checked what the differences were after only logging for a day, or else in a week I would have been in for a surprise losing all my progress. I need to keep a log for my doctor, but it looks like that log will have to be in a notes app.
