User Reviews

This app is simply a web browser with specific websites it has access to. That's all it is. The app was very clearly made with the simple purpose to take specific website functions from the BU website and put them all on one home screen. Does it do what it's supposed to do? Yes, somewhat. The live occupancy feature (what most people have the app for) works just fine. The occupancy shown seems at least somewhat accurate from what I can tell. The "group fitness" schedule seems empty up until the end of August. That may just be due to the fact that it's summer though. "Hours", "Programs", "Memberships", "Important Updates", and "Notifications" seem to have no issues. Now for everything that doesn't work: "Find your fit", "Outdoor Pursuits", "Clubs", and "Intramurals" all show 404 errors. The "Digital ID" cant find my account even though I use it daily on the website, and I can't seem to get "favorites" to do much of anything anymore. Binghamton, one of the top public schools in the country, deserves an app that allows for a positive user experience. Functions should be native instead of being deceptively placed hyperlinks. It should work and be clean and easy to use. Overall, this app seems like it's just there to be there, not to be useful. The company that made it is a company that just makes apps for schools. While I like that Binghamton tried to get an app going and hired a company to do it, Binghamton is mainly a STEM school and having one of their tech classes work to build a better app might not be the worst option. In conclusion, I'm disappointed, but hopefully it can get better or be replaced. TLDR; A majority of the features don't work, and the only actually helpful feature is the "live occupancy" feature. Go on the Binghamton website for everything else.
