Parental Control App: AirDroid

I had a teen daughter my sweet angel was only 16 i got her this app because something in me couldn’t trust her for some reasons, after a while she didn’t talk to me for days i noticed her wrists always had this lines with blood or her wrists were bandaged up. She barely went out of her room and she didn’t have any friends at school nor anywhere. Time skip i walk into her room to give her dinner even though i called her downstairs for dinner. When i opened that door i was surely not ready for what i saw my daughter had tried to kill herself she was hanging luckily i had gotten there in time just to save her ambulances came and they saved my sweet angel. While she was being hospitalized i decided to go through her phone there i saw that she had online friends i was shocked to see that my daughter had friends she seemed joyful with them and even vented about her feelings i saw a message she sent this guy saying “I hate my dad he added parental controls onto my phone i can’t talk to u or even my other friends i miss you guys so much his ruining my life i hate him so much!” this message broke me completely. Now i know this was my fault for even giving her these parental controls but no apps should be made to restrict your child’s device yeah sure make it for the younger audience only kids 3-9 but not to teenagers simply don’t add some safe way so teenagers are not able to get access to having their time controlled. My angel is still alive and well, ever since i removed the restrictions she’s been happier she’s even gotten therapy for her depression and self harm.

I’m 18 years old and STILL have this app this is completely unfair. I’m an adult already and know how to take care of myself and control my screen time yet my mom still has this. This app is meant for little kids whose brains aren’t developed yet mine already is.
