User Reviews

Users praise Masjidal Athan+ for accurate, location-based prayer times and a handy widget, plus an ad-free, clean UI and strong features like Qibla and masjid data. The top recurring drawbacks are widget reliability after updates (including iOS 26 icon tint issues) and the absence of Apple Watch support/complications, which many reviewers want added.

Pros

Locates the nearest masjid and provides accurate local prayer times based on your location.
Helpful home screen widget for quick access to prayer times.
Ad-free experience with a clean, simple UI.
Comprehensive features including Qibla direction, sunrise/sunset times, local masjid data, and community updates.
Useful across devices (works on iPad and is helpful for travelers with nearby masjid data).

Cons

Widget reliability issues after updates and iOS 26 icon tint changes (widget not displaying time properly).
Lack of Apple Watch support; several reviews request a watch app/complications.

For weeks now I’ve been having horrible and inconsistent notifications issues. Some prayers would never send me an adhan. Others, the notification will disappear by itself after an undetermined amount of time (what seems to be an hour or two). I’m young and very tech savvy. I’ve manually went into the app’s notifications settings and turned off and back on each prayer’s notification settings to no avail. I emailed the app’s support I believe two weeks ago and got no reply. Living in the west, it’s a big issue. I just downloaded another adhan app because I can’t compromise this issue again. The idea of this app is wonderful, but the execution could use some enhancement. Thank you.
