Features & Capabilities

Magic Bean: Puyo Puzzle is a classic offline drop-and-match game. Colorful beans fall and you merge four or more of the same color to trigger explosions and chain combos. Avoid letting the blocks reach the top.

Choose from two modes: Solo Mode with color-target goals, or Dual Mode against an AI opponent. Chain explosions can disrupt the other board, and the last bean standing wins. Quick, addictive arcade fun for on-the-go play.

User Reviews

Magic Bean is a solid Puyo Puyo–style clone with satisfying chaining and a quirky, lighthearted vibe. It serves as a handy mobile alternative for PuYO fans without a console. However, reviews repeatedly flag rough, overly sensitive controls; repetitive, sometimes unfitting music; and an imbalanced AI/difficulty that can make early levels frustrating. Some call it a shameless ripoff. Despite flaws, it remains enjoyable for PuYO fans who’re willing to overlook these issues for its charm.
Pros
  • Solid Puyo Puyo–style clone; a good mobile alternative for PuYO fans.
  • Satisfying chain mechanics that feel rewarding when combos land.
  • Quirky charm and playful mood that some players find endearing.
  • A handy mobile option for PuYO on iOS when a console isn’t available.
Cons
  • Controls are overly sensitive and sometimes inconsistent/awkward.
  • Music is repetitive across levels and can feel unfitting.
  • AI/difficulty can be unbalanced or punishing, making early levels hard or unwinnable.
  • Perceived as a shameless ripoff / low-originality clone.

So I downloaded it because I remember the Doctor robotnik version I played as a child via Sega although this one is similar, I do miss the option to play with a friend and I really need better sound effects for bricks dropping other than that is not too bad. I’m on level six for what seems like forever but I don’t like is I’ll turn it and it’ll turn the same way except for when I needed to seems like the computer has a mind of his own against me even on my handle when I’m flipping my beans around please update

genuinely a good alternative to puyo. it’s a bit rough, sure. but i feel that compliments it in way. the same song plays for every single level. its alright, albeit unfitting, but it really does put me in the magic bean mood.
