Hiking World

Hiking World is a runners-focused Chrome extension designed to empower runners with personal journals, progress tracking, and social connections. It offers a Personal Home Area where you can display journals, monitor monthly progress, manage your friend list, and log running and cycling experience, distances, and goals.

In Training, log multiple training types (Basic/Distance/Time/Calories Run and Cycling), view real-time routes on a clean map, post results with details like location, weather, and post-run conditions, and upload photos while enjoying music playback. Journal Walls let users share journals, like favorites, and leave messages, with updates from friends and local runners. Note: Continued use of GPS in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
