User Reviews

Reviews show a split: some users find the app amazing and useful for journaling, but many report a paid-paywall model that blocks free use, with concerns about data access and high subscription costs. Additional recurring complaints include crashes, sign-in/out problems, and a lack of easy navigation (no exit/back button). The most mentioned themes are monetization and reliability, though a few reviewers note an ad-free, visually appealing experience when access is available.
Pros
  • Some users praise the app as amazing and love using it.
  • Useful journaling tool for thoughts, daily history, and tracking personal progress.
  • Visually appealing interface.
  • Reported ad-free experience in some reviews.
Cons
  • Paywall / forced subscription; free features are not truly free.
  • Access to existing entries or data can be blocked or lost due to paywall or cloud-backup issues.
  • Crashes or instability after attempting to use paid features or after subscribing.
  • Frequent sign-in/out issues and general navigation friction (e.g., no exit/back button).
  • Prices are too high and renewals are seen as poor value.

I want this fixed now. This has officially become a terrible app. I wrote a story in an entry free and it was a long story and I was proud to write it and be able to write it again. I went back in the next day just for it to not let me in no matter how many times I signed out and signed in. Every time I hit X it took me back to another paying page. I would like to see my entry please.

This app is really hard to understand. It’s easy to write in, but it doesn’t keep your entries saved. I’ve used it for six months, and I don’t know what happened to all my entries, they disappeared. I thought maybe I’d forgotten to back them up, or that it was something on my end, so I started completely over. But when I logged in today, even yesterday’s entry was nowhere to be found. I don’t understand how to get this app to actually save entries. This is very frustrating for a journal app, since the whole point is being able to go back and read what you wrote.
