User Reviews

User reviews show the SkyRider Cruise drone can function with a workable app that streams video and offers screen control when it connects. However, the app is repeatedly unreliable: initialization hangs, it fails to connect, media saving to iPhone is blocked, and the camera feed often glitches. Additional OS/UI compatibility and usability complaints amplify frustration. Overall, hardware performance is praised when the app works, but app reliability is the dominant issue.
Pros
  • When it connects, the app can stream live camera footage and allow screen-based control of the drone.
  • Some reviews describe the app as user-friendly and easy to connect to the drone when it works.
  • Users with older SkyRider models report the app still helps and works after adjustments, indicating basic compatibility.
  • A few reviewers explicitly call the app 'good' or 'good app' when functioning.
Cons
  • The app frequently fails to initialize or gets stuck on the Home Screen and does not progress.
  • Inability to save or download drone photos/videos to the iPhone camera roll due to app restrictions or required permissions.
  • Ongoing connectivity issues between the app and the drone, including WiFi connection problems and prompts to connect to the device.
  • Camera feed/video glitches or not displaying despite the drone being connected.
  • Compatibility/OS issues and UI limitations, such as not supporting newer iOS versions or a non-full-screen app on iPhone.

So after seeing all the reviews it sounds like this app is trash total trash saying that people don’t have any control it would fly all by itself or automatically yeah I saw a lot of bad reviews one star there is only one review I saw with five stars but I am starting to get along with this now to it’s not about the app so I got batteries for the controller for the drone and I’m walking up my stairs, holding the joystick swing in my arm and then right as I get to the 10th step The left joystick snaps out of place and now it’s broken so I think the design for the controller is bad cause there’s no way that should’ve snapped.I used to have another drone and I carried it the exact same way it did not snap so the design is complete trash. also, I bought this app off of my iPad so I hope it’s not harder

I had to keep throttle to keep it from moving backwards on its own when there is no input from me and would go towards trees
