fx12 - Free-Flight Models

Manage Favionics free-flight model airplanes from your iPhone — program timers, track GPS flights, and keep models backed up in the cloud.

fx12 is the companion app for Favionics fx12 / fx24 timers, fxRDT, and fxWS devices. It gives you a clear interface to view and change parameters on fx12 and fxRDT, including altimeter and GPS data in real time. The optional Apple Watch app shows live telemetry and lets you RDT the model from your wrist.

This app may use your location even when it isn’t open, which can decrease device battery life. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

DEVICES & CONTROL • Connect fx12 , fxRDT recorders, and fxWS wireless sensors over Bluetooth • View and edit timer programs, DT, hook, and servos • Save and load programs; compare changes before loading onto a model • Real-time altimeter and GPS data from the model • Model list indicators for sleep mode and live RDT data • Optional beep when switching parameters (can be disabled in Settings) • Custom numeric keyboard with +1 / −1 steps and Done for faster editing

MAPS & LIVE TRACKING • Native GPS map with follow mode and pilot steer cues • Terrain view for better spatial awareness • Automatic zoom as you approach the model — easier to use while riding a bike • Markers show GPS freshness and time since last GPS data • Accuracy circle when GPS reception is weak • Optional Timer view to monitor flight time and key parameters (enable in Settings)

FLIGHTS, CHARTS & ANALYSIS • Clean charting for altitude and flight data • Share flights as full .fx12alti data for easy re-import • Flight analysis — launch altitude detection, BNT analysis, and dedicated metric charts

COMPETITION & FIELD USE • Competition mode with Practice / Competition switch on Model Box • Flight-period schedules and minimum DT warnings (DT turns red when below the minimum)

CLOUD BACKUP & MIGRATION • Back up and restore to iCloud and Google Drive • Keep multiple backups so you can roll back if data is corrupted • Restore models when migrating to a new phone • Selective restore — choose which models to bring back • Clear Google account status and sign-out from the app • Guidance when importing data from older Favionics apps
