User Reviews

Overall, users praise Stashcook as a powerful hub for saving and organizing recipes from multiple sources, with helpful import and planning features and macro tracking. However, recurring concerns center on pricing and billing (free trials that auto-charge, unclear upfront costs), reliability issues (crashes or the app not opening after paying), data loss or missing saved recipes, and occasional AI extraction inaccuracies along with some usability glitches like broken sharing. The app’s core strengths are strong organization and planning capabilities, but billing and stability concerns dampen long‑term satisfaction.
Pros
  • Centralized saving and organization of recipes from multiple sources (social media, notecards, cookbooks, and online).
  • Strong import/transfer capabilities across sources with editing functionality within the app.
  • Meal planning and grocery-list features to streamline cooking.
  • Macro tracking and nutrition support to help with dietary goals.
Cons
  • Pricing and billing concerns, including free trials that auto-charge and unclear upfront costs.
  • Reliability issues such as crashes or the app not opening after paying.
  • Loss or disappearance of saved recipes or data.
  • AI-based recipe extraction can be inaccurate or misrepresent the saved recipe.
  • Usability glitches like sharing failures and non-persistent UI elements.

I was using the app for a bit and it was working fine but for the past 2 weeks anytime I try opening the app it doesn’t even load in and I paid for the yearly subscription so now I’m paying for nothing

I absolutely loved this app at first! I was able to send all of my saved recipes from Facebook and TikTok. I could even put them in separate categories and keep them organized. I didn’t have to purchase a subscription to be able to use it. Everything was fine until a couple weeks ago. My app stopped loading up any of my recipes, so I would have to log out and log back in. Now, a lot of my recipes have simply disappeared. I hope they’re not deleted forever and it’s just a bug that will fix itself as I spent hours uploading all of them. To the creators of this app, please fix these bug issues. I love this app so much, I don’t want to have to find another one!
