I specifically purchased the Braun ThermoScan 7+ because of its connectivity and the ability to connect the thermometer to a mobile phone. I paid extra for the 7+ version specifically for this feature. Unfortunately, after purchasing it, I discovered that the Braun Family Care app is not supported in Qatar. The app simply displays “Country Not Supported” and tells me to remove it from the device. This is extremely disappointing. If a major advertised feature of a premium model is unavailable in the country where the product is sold, this should be clearly stated before purchase. The thermometer itself may work perfectly well, but I could have bought a cheaper non-connected model if I knew the connectivity feature would be unusable. Braun should either make the app available in Qatar or clearly disclose the regional restrictions before customers pay extra for the connected model.
