Middle C is a beginner-friendly tool that teaches piano scales and chords. Learn the most-used scales and chords with clear fingering guidance, and listen as they are played on a keyboard, with the notes and building formulas shown.

How it works: select a scale or chord in any key, press Play, and the app will sound it and display all its notes and the formula used to build it. Scales include Major and Minor in all keys; chords include Major, Minor, Diminished, Major 7th, and Dominant 7th. More content will be added over time.

As a teacher I was hoping to find a straightforward app that would make scales more fun for my students. I thought this one would do the trick but the ads are too frequent and the ad content may not be appropriate for kids. Too bad a paid version is not available.
