Chute is a network toolbox for power users and a production-grade proxy engine. It intercepts, decrypts (MITM), and logs network traffic summaries, then routes traffic through upstream proxies based on a flexible rule system with 37 rule types — including domain, IP-CIDR, GEOIP, process name, and logical operators (AND / OR / NOT). It also supports URL rewrite, header rewrite, and local mock responses.

Fully supported proxy protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 over TLS, Shadowsocks, ShadowsocksR, Shadowsocks 2022, Trojan, VMess, VLESS (with REALITY anti-censorship), TUIC, Hysteria2, AnyTLS, WireGuard, and SSH.

Policy groups: URL-Test (lowest latency), Fallback, Load Balance (round-robin / consistent hash / sticky), SSID-based, and manual Select — all with hot configuration reload.
