Features & Capabilities

Opacha-mda is a simple strategy game about capturing planets. It emphasizes easy-to-learn rules, a clean UI, and smooth animations. This game is a remake of my old title yioStrategy, updated for modern play.

Key features include a campaign with hundreds of levels, an ad-free experience with no microtransactions, and a focus on straightforward strategy. The result is a lightweight, accessible game designed for quick sessions and strategic planning.

User Reviews

Players love the ad-free, accessible strategy and huge content, with endless skirmish variation and a privacy-friendly footprint. However, repeated complaints about a powerful/unpredictable AI, a repetitive campaign, flaky UI controls, and the lack of multiplayer dampen the experience for some. Overall, strong core mechanics and content balance against interface and progression issues.
Pros
  • Ad-free experience (no ads or popups)
  • Simple to learn but with deep strategic depth
  • Extremely replayable with endless skirmish variations and a massive campaign
  • Privacy-friendly (doesn’t track you)
  • Lightweight performance with long battery life
Cons
  • AI is very strong/imbalanced and can be unbeatable on some levels
  • Campaign is repetitive with copy-paste levels and uneven progression
  • UI/controls can be fiddly: small touch targets, background movement, and unclear instructions
  • No multiplayer or 1v1 mode (missing competitive play)
  • Some levels are notoriously difficult or inconsistent in difficulty (e.g., certain campaign levels)

If you’re on a level with more than one opponent color, one of them will have the sole goal of only opposing the player tying up your resources so that a “favored” color wins, it’s a king-maker, it’ll be like “red isn’t trying to win, it’s making sure blue does.”

I have been playing this game for at least 5 years. The two best things about this game is #1 it doesn’t track you and #2 it has endless variations in skirmish. I have played most of the games from this developer and I keep coming back to this one. All of the other games are really good too, but this one seems to scratch an itch of simple enough to win but still challenging enough to keep me engaged. Some of the games in skirmish mode are not beatable but if you regenerate once 90% of the time you can beat it. I wish all game developers had this much integrity. Sincerely thank you for making this game.

I’m on campaign level 800+ going strong so I think it’s fair to say I enjoy this game. The game is simple but addictive and because there’s no ads, I can put on some music and just enjoy the game. Best replacement for doomscrolling ever, would recommend. P.S. play the campaign before calendar, it helps to know how the game is played.
