User Reviews

Users praise WhiteFlag for its peer-based, private, message-only approach that makes it easy to connect with others and offer or receive support. However, multiple reviews point to reliability issues—sign-in/authentication failures, server errors, missing notifications, and stability bugs—along with slow or limited customer support and restrictive help reporting. The concept is valued, but sustained usability hinges on fixing critical technical problems and improving support responsiveness.
Pros
  • Helps users give and receive support through a peer-based community.
  • Easy-to-use, message-only design that protects privacy and reduces anxiety about calls or photos.
  • Connects users quickly with peers who have similar experiences.
  • Creates a sense of community and a support system beyond personal networks.
  • Fosters alignment with mental health help goals by focusing on peer support rather than traditional messaging or calls.
Cons
  • Frequent sign-in/authentication and server issues block access to the app.
  • Push notifications are unreliable or missing, so users don't know when they have messages.
  • Stability bugs like blank white screens and other crashes disrupt use.
  • Customer support is slow or unresponsive, making it hard to get help.
  • In-app design limits reporting of a user's struggles to general categories, hindering meaningful help.

I love this app because I get to do my work through it and help others but it’s very frustrating when you don’t get the notifications saying that someone needs help. Other than that, I absolutely love the app and I’m just hoping that this Meijer bug can be fixed.

When having a mental health issue it shouldn’t take a month to get someone to reach out to you then someone that does finally reached out doesn’t care there should be more of a verify the person check because if you keep asking me for you to send me money that’s not what I want

I noticed I starting having issues with this app Summer 2025 after maybe 1-2 years of having it. I was able to help talk to quite a few people who were struggling and just needed to talk. Ever since last summer, I have tried to fix the issues myself on my iPhone and iPad, nothing. Error message saying it’s a server issue. Tried contacting White Flag on Instagram, email, their app, anywhere and have received ZERO responses on the issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and still nothing, still a server issue. This WAS a good app when I first started using it but now I’m beyond disappointed of the lack of customer service with these IT issues. If White Flag has a solution they’d like to tell me to fix this error, contact me. I’ve sent plenty of messages and emails to you on the issue that you can find.
