##Fear Anxiety and Repressed Fear Whats the Difference
• Healthy Fear
Fear is a natural protective response to real danger. When a car swerves toward you, your fear sharpens your reflexes. It serves you then fades. This fear is healthy, needs no treatment and without it the human race would have died long ago.
• Anxiety
Anxiety is fear, without a concrete object. Its the chronic worry, the racing thoughts, the tightness in the chest that wont go away. Unlike healthy fear, anxiety doesnt pass when the threat is over, because there often isnt a real threat in the present moment.
• Repressed Fear
This is where it gets deeper. Some fears especially those formed in childhood or during overwhelming experiences were too painful/overwhelming to feel/integrate at the time. The mind protects itself by pushing them out of awareness. But repressed doesnt mean gone. These hidden fears live on in the body and the unconscious quietly generating:
• Chronic anxiety and worry
• Panic attacks out of nowhere
• Phobias that dont seem to make sense
• Persistent tension blockages or emotional numbness
In the German language this fear is called pathogenic fear, also known as fear from the past. These fears do not warn of danger in acute situations, but occur without any real threat and are usually strong frequent and longterm (chronic).
##Why take this test
Many emotional conflicts and anxiety related patterns are outside conscious awareness, because they have been excluded from a persons experience. As a result people cannot accurately determine which hidden fears emotions or beliefs are influencing them.
##How does the test work
The test is based on unavoidable reactions.
