User Reviews
Pros
- Advanced control for variable-speed HVAC that can optimize energy efficiency and aux-heat management.
- User-friendly interface with appealing visuals when the app is functioning well.
- Remote monitoring and status visibility from the phone.
- Notable improvements over time, with some users reporting better responsiveness after updates.
- Generally easy to set up and use when the system is stable.
Cons
- Unreliable connectivity and app syncing, with frequent login errors, long load times, and occasional 'no internet' messages.
- Buggy multi-zone support, including jumping back to the first thermostat and zone controls not functioning.
- Limited scheduling options—few trigger times, no hourly temperatures, and inability to disable gradual heating.
- Weak support and documentation, making it hard to get help when issues arise.
- Lack of HomeKit/smart-home integration and uneven compatibility with ecosystems.

Seems like it’s logical but does not do what I think it should. Limited to no literature or instructions online. Would love to love it but can’t make it work properly. Limited temperature ranges.

I thought it would be complicated to use but it’s actually well designed so not confusing. I like I can lower the exterior temp I want the auxiliary heat to be used at because I don’t like for that to run at its own whim since it is not as efficient as the heat pump. I have a high efficiency system so it should be able to keep up at low temps but often the aux heat gets turned on if you make a large temperature swing more than 1.5 to 2 degrees so that it warms as quickly as possible…I don’t need that feature, I only want it if the system can’t keep up in the extreme cold and so I set it as such. Controls the variable speed communicating indoor and outdoor units nicely allowing them to operate at the highest efficiency possible. Other non proprietary thermostats only allow variable speed systems to run at one of two speeds which takes away from the high efficiency characteristics of a variable speed system that monitors the room temperature conditions as well as outdoor conditions to choose the best speed possible for the ultimate in energy efficiency. Only complaint is that it lacks showing what percentage of speed it is currently running at which would be nice to see but not required. So far it is doing a great job to maintain the set temperature and also quickly heat when the set temp is raised. I like that it has a 10 year warranty since it is a touchscreen “mini iPad” type device so I’m protected should it stop working for 10 years.
