User Reviews

Users like the clean UI and the ability to track plant care, especially watering reminders, but repeatedly complain that many features are locked behind a paid subscription, making the app feel not free. Reliability problems (crashes, misidentifications, lost data) undermine usefulness, and watering recommendations are often inaccurate or not customizable. Navigation is confusing and the app can be slow to respond, with some users unable to switch accounts or access their plants. The primary request across reviews is for better free functionality, dependable identifications, and customizable watering schedules, as well as improved UX.
Pros
  • Reminders for watering and feeding help keep plants on a schedule.
  • Useful plant-tracking features for monitoring care over time.
  • Clean, simple UI that users appreciate.
  • Plant identifier tool works when it identifies correctly and helps with care.
  • Strong customer support, including smooth account transitions across platforms.
Cons
  • Core features are locked behind a paid subscription; not free to use as advertised.
  • Reliability issues including crashes, loading failures, and misidentifications.
  • Watering reminders and recommendations are often unreliable or not customizable (too frequent or based on pot size).
  • Navigation and overall UX are clunky/difficult, with issues like not being able to go back from sections.
  • Account migration/login problems and feature gating hinder access to plants and data.

I downloaded this, tried to identify two plants, it was wildly wrong, I decided it was garbage and canceled before I had to pay for it. Maybe the other feature are good but I felt like it wasn’t trustworthy after the initial experience.

I used this free trial for about 2 days and then forgot to cancel it. My plants weren’t identified directly and diagnosis wasn’t super effective. I found a better app for my vegetable garden but sadly got charged before I could cancel and Apple won’t refund my request. I’m sure it’s fine for some people but sadly just thought it would be more helpful for a new backyard vegetable gardener and can’t manage to get a refund despite reporting an accidental renewal within 10 minutes of realizing my trial had run out and I was charged.
