Salah Guide - Islamic Prayer Times App

Salat Helper - The best Islamic iPhone/iPad Application with many daily use features and many more features to be added soon. The primary purpose of the Salat Helper App was to act as a Salah Guide for New Muslims and Kids. Complete instructions for all 5 Salats (Fajr, Zuhur, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) are provided along with Visual, Arabic Text and Audio. English Transliteration is provided for easy reading for New Muslims who do not know how to read Arabic yet. This How to Muslim Prayer Guide App acts as a great tool in learning Salat, the app can be used over and over again to memorize the steps and the easy navigation helps go back and forward between the different steps in the Salat.

More features have been added to the Salat Helper to compliment the main feature of Islamic Prayer Guide. Below are some of the features that are added:

How to perform Wudu

Slideshow on how to perform Wudu provides a quick overview to the users on the steps of wudu. This feature again is excellent for everyone who wants to know the basics of wadu.

Islamic Prayer Timings

This feature provides the users Accurate Islamic Prayer Timings on their iPhone and iPad devices. The Praying Timings that are calculated are based on the user location picked up via GPS from the device. The settings screen provide different calculation mechanism for calculating the Prayer Times. Calculation methods provided are :

Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Muslim World League (MWL) Umm al-Qura Makkah Egyptian General Authority of Survey Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran Ithna Ashari University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi Islamic Prayer Notification Alarm Built in Prayer Notification Alarm will remind users on each of the prayers on the time of the Salat. The settings area give the user the option to set whether they want the Alarm and on which prayers they would like the Alarm.

Surah Recitation and Azaan Section

This section provides some of the Surahs and Azaan in text and audio format. Transliteration is provided in English for users who cannot read Arabic.

This used to be my go to as a revert when i needed guidance with my salat. However since redownloading to get assistance with a specific prayer the app crashes everytime i press one of the bottom options. Please update it’s so beneficial!!!

As a new Muslim, I have found this app to be informative and very useful. It’s very convenient for setting alarms for prayer time and beneficial in helping me learn to pray in Arabic.
