SJCEMSA Treatment Protocols

The content has been updated with Content Version 1.1. This update includes the following:

1. Fixed typos and grammatical errors.
2. Updated Traumatic Arrest.

SJCEMSA Treatment Protocols App includes EMS Policy 5700, "Advanced Life Support Treatment Protocols." The Treatment Protocols are medical direction to prehospital personnel in San Joaquin County, CA that is based on current emergency medicine standards of care. Their adoption constitutes a significant change to the delivery of prehospital care in the San Joaquin County EMS system. The new Treatment Protocols are formatted for ease of use and quick reference for prehospital personnel.

The mobile application is intended to provide mobile and convenient access to the Treatment Protocols for San Joaquin County accredited paramedics and is not a general-purpose first aid guide. The app also allows the San Joaquin County EMS Agency to provide updates to its EMS professionals. The Treatment Protocols as presented in the mobile application do not constitute advice for the treatment of the sick or injured for individuals by any person that does not have the appropriate skills, training, licensure and accreditation.
