Sasol eBirds Southern Africa is SA's best-selling birding app, now featuring AI-powered Bird Call ID. Record a live bird call and receive AI-suggested identifications, with quick access to calls and ID help on your bird-watching trips, plus species text in English and Afrikaans.

It covers over 1000 species, includes more than 1100 calls (885 species) and 3600+ photographs, plus expanded Smart Search filters, similar-species plates, seabird and raptor illustrations, and updated distribution maps. Bird Call ID is available via an optional in-app subscription. Updates will roll out regularly with new content and features, and user feedback is welcome via apps@penguinrandomhouse.co.za.
