Multiple reviews report that the Verona Bus app cannot be used by foreigners due to SMS verification failures for non-Italian numbers, blocking signup and ticket purchase. I am planning a trip to several cities in Europe and have downloaded the apps for each cities public transportation. I was able to create accounts for all of them except this one. It requires an activation code via SMS but I never get the code.

Like reviews from 2 years ago, unable to set up account because SMS code not received on phone. They should allow SMS code to be sent to email address. Annoying because the app sends an email informing you that you’ve started the process but need to enter the code. Frustrating!

Constant errors when trying to set up an account. Eventually got to the SMS authorization and it wouldn’t work with a +1 number. Just go to the bus terminal if you are at the train station and get a ticket at the kiosk.
