User Reviews

User reviews show WatchWave can sync atomic clocks and watches when radio signals are weak or unavailable, especially with iPad or external speakers. It supports many time formats and Casio models and has a clean UI with potential cost savings over traditional signal generators. However, recurring drawbacks limit reliability: device compatibility issues (notably iPhone 5610 and iPhone 15 speakers), a need for proximity to a strong audio source and often high volume or ear-detection changes, multi-minute sync times, and a cap on clocks synced at once. Some users want an offset setting for precise timing.
Pros
  • Often syncs atomic clocks/watches when radio signals are weak or unavailable.
  • Supports many time formats and Casio models (G-Shock, Oceanus, etc.).
  • Well-designed UI/UX and easy to follow setup.
  • Can save money by avoiding a dedicated signal generator and works for multiple clocks at close range.
  • Works better with an iPad or external speakers, which can improve reliability.
Cons
  • Device compatibility issues with some hardware combos (notably iPhone 5610; iPhone 15 speakers).
  • Requires proximity to a strong audio source (or headphones) and often high volume; may require disabling ear-detection.
  • Sync times can be lengthy (roughly 5–10 minutes).
  • Usually limited to syncing one or two clocks at a time (not suitable for large setups).
  • Occasional clock accuracy drift and a request for an offset feature to dial in precise timing (ms).
Recent reviews
I recently purchased a citizen radio watch but haven’t managed to get a radio signal in 3 weeks. I live in the north east in a very dense metro so I was trying to plan an opportunity in the mountains to get it some signal. Then i found about about this app on Reddit and it really works! The first couple of times it didn’t cast a strong enough signal from my phone but I set my watch infront of my iPad and it got the signal. Brilliant!

This app does NOT work with iPhone + Casio 5610. Waste of my time.
