Waco Guide- Psychopharmacology

The Waco Guide to Psychopharmacology in Primary Care is a clinical decision support tool created by the Waco Family Medicine residency faculty, in collaboration with Harvard Medical School-affiliated psychiatrists. It synthesizes top-level evidence and expert opinion to help frontline clinicians make informed pharmacotherapy decisions across adult, pediatric/adolescent, perinatal, women's health, and substance use contexts.

Designed for in-office use, the tool emphasizes high-yield, evidence-based pharmacology with titration schedules, monitoring guidance, side-effect profiles, and cost considerations. It provides guidance across major disorders (e.g., MDD, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, insomnia, ADHD, eating disorders) and offers special-population considerations (obesity, cardiac/renal/hepatic impairment, geriatrics).
