User Reviews

Users praise ICG Training as useful and feature-rich when it connects, but the user experience is heavily affected by reliability issues. The most common complaints involve unstable bike-to-app connections, lost workout data and crashes, missing heart rate data, and flaky Strava/Health integrations. Some also note confusing UI and metric inconsistencies. Overall, the app works well for some users, but reliability and seamless data syncing are the dominant concerns blocking broad adoption.
Pros
  • Good Bluetooth connectivity and quick pairing when the bike and app stay connected.
  • Feature-rich with multiple workout options and useful cycling metrics.
  • Acts as a reliable go-to tool for gym workouts and logging when it connects.
  • Cycle trainer features (zap and display ring) add engaging feedback during workouts.
  • Overall user sentiment includes that the app is spectacular and very useful when functioning.
Cons
  • Frequent connection drops between the bike and the app; initial pairing and ongoing connection can be unreliable.
  • Workouts are not consistently saved or recorded due to crashes or the app freezing mid-session.
  • Heart rate data is missing or not pulled from Apple Watch, often displaying zero.
  • Strava and Apple Health integration is flaky or difficult to set up and use.
  • Inconsistent metrics and distances, such as miles being displayed as kilometers.

Use the ICG setup at EOS. Love it. I love the metrics the bike provides. The app helps me track my progress on strength and endurance. I wished the bike computer would transfer the watts/hr stat, but other than that, the app is great.

First time I try this gave my email and set up a password. It wouldn’t let me it kept telling me I had the wrong password. How could I have the wrong password if this was the first time I attempted to set the app up. Waste of time!
