User Reviews

Planbook Mobile offers strong planning and organization features, including unit-based lesson banks, color-coding, and easy sharing/Canvas integration. However, multiple reviews highlight reliability problems: data loss or accidental deletions, crashes, and slow performance during edits. Saving is inconsistent without auto-save, and mobile login and copy/paste experiences are problematic. It works well when stable and across devices, but significant reliability and UX issues need attention for consistent mobile use.
Pros
  • Robust planning and organization features (lesson banks, units, color-coding, standards) that help structure curriculum.
  • Copy/paste functionality for lessons saves time and makes adapting plans easier.
  • Sharing and Canvas integration (embed) helps accountability and parent/family accessibility.
  • Desktop/browser version and cross-device usefulness support multi‑platform planning.
  • Responsive customer service and support (as noted by users).
Cons
  • Serious data loss risks: assignments/semesters can disappear or be deleted unintentionally.
  • Frequent crashes and instability, especially when editing or adding content.
  • Saving relies on manual actions; lack of auto-save leads to lost work.
  • Mobile login friction: repeated sign-ins and lack of single sign-on on mobile.
  • Mobile copy/paste issues and time changes when duplicating lessons.

I’ve been using Planbook for around 10 years and it is absolutely the best. I can design my own templates, add standards with just a click, save my files to a unit, bump lessons for inclement weather days, copy or extend lessons, and SO MUCH MORE. I will never use anything else.

Every year, setup is miserable. Things change from year to year & it’s difficult to figure out. Once things have been set, the rest of the year is a breeze & it’s amazing. Too bad you didn’t ask for a rating later in the year…you would’ve gotten 4-stars! But I’ve been working on this setup for 2 hours now (& it’s a simple schedule!) so it’s a 1-star rating! :)
