User Reviews

Overall, the app is valued when it works: a useful inflation calculator with graphs, broad currency coverage, and helpful historical context. However, repeated criticisms center on pricing and monetization (subscription model, cross-device charges), reliability and UI bugs (unresponsive controls, input clearing, scrolling issues), onboarding/restoration friction, and ads. Users note it used to be free and expect either a free/ad-supported version or a better value proposition. The core tension is a capable tool hampered by monetization and stability concerns.
Pros
  • Useful inflation calculator with historical values
  • Graphs and visualizations enhance understanding of trends
  • Wide currency coverage and international relevance
  • Easy to use with good functionality when it works
  • Helpful for quick reference, travel, and historical price context
Cons
  • Pricing model: subscription fees for a calculator and perceived lack of value; many say it used to be free
  • Repeated charges, cross-device licensing issues, and trouble restoring access on other devices
  • Reliability/UX problems: unresponsive buttons, input not clearing, scrolling glitches
  • Onboarding/sign-up friction and deceptive-feel signs-up, plus restoration issues
  • Ads and monetization frustrations: desire for a free/ad-supported or ad-free paid option

Another local quality marginal app trying to cash in and get in your pocket on a weekly basis while offering very little value. No thanks. Uninstall.

I paid 2.99 for this app a few years ago but I can no longer access the premium perks of it and is asking me again to pay. Plus it onboards every time which is inconvenient.

Not worth the money. I get y’all gotta keep the servers up and running, but really? A subscription to a *calculator*? Do you realise how crazy that sounds? Shouldn’t have to pay to access it. Just use adverts or something. I think we can agree that this is a good and necessary thing to have, but I think that’s all the more reason to make it free with ads and then have a “premium” ad-free version. I am sick and tired of having to pay a subscription to use everything I come across. That’s not a bandwagon worth hopping on.
