eTick

eTick is a citizen science project that invites Canadians to help monitor ticks and Lyme disease by submitting tick photos via a mobile app or the website (eTick.ca). Trained personnel identify the ticks, with results usually returned within one business day and shown in real time on a public interactive map for visualization by area or individual submissions.

All products and services—application download, image identification, and access to public data—are free of charge. Ten provinces participate (BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NS, NL, and PE) with territories to be added soon, enabling public health insight and community participation.
