User Reviews

Garadget is praised for affordability, simple setup, and strong remote monitoring with responsive support. Recurring drawbacks center on status inaccuracy, updates/migrations that disrupt functionality or UI, and setup/authentication challenges. Overall, it offers solid value and remote control, but stability in status reporting and update-related changes are the most commonly cited concerns.

Pros

Low cost and affordable solution for garage door automation.
Plug-and-play / easy setup for many installations.
Remote monitoring and control from anywhere with status alerts.
Responsive, hands-on support from developers.
Active development with new features and updates.

Cons

Inaccurate door status readings (open/closed) and unreliable status reporting.
App updates and migrations cause breaking changes, new UI, or lost functionality.
Setup and authentication can be difficult (initial setup struggles, login/token issues).

Recent reviews

Low cost, simple way to automate my garage door. Been a customer for about 10 years and haven’t ever regretted it.

This app is messed up. It shows open when closed, closed when open. Sometimes half up or half down. I also have MyQ on two other houses and it is so much better. I will be replacing this unit.
