Wolow is a wake on LAN app that lets you remotely start a computer by sending a magic packet. Create a device configuration inside the app, select the device you would like to start up and then press the power button and as long as your configuration is correct you can watch your computer startup.

Wake on LAN is a network protocol that is supported by the majority of Ethernet cards available. Before using the app ensure your computer is fully configured to work with the wake on LAN protocol. A guide on how to set up your computer can be found within the app at the bottom.

I’m not sure exactly when it started but I used to be able to send shut down and restart commands remotely while connected over a VPN. That has stopped working. Everything works fine when connected to my local network but everything stopped working over the VPN connection and nothing changed with the VPN connection or settings on my home PC.

Works great for me! Have no issues with any of the functions and appreciate the companion app for additional functionality. One nitpick is when using widgets: I’d like a confirmation dialogue because it’s easy to click on something and accidentally fire off a command.
