Overview

Features & Capabilities

Let's Unmix is a Chrome extension that lets you isolate and control individual tracks from any song. Separate vocals, drums, bass, piano, and other instruments from the mix, then export the stems to DAWs. Tune playback by adjusting volume and panning per track, or change speed, and use the waveform editor to select exact regions for playback or export. Import music from your Media Library, other apps, or cloud services like iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, and more.

Supports a wide range of formats for input (mp3, m4a, ALAC, AIFF, FLAC, WAV) and export (m4a, ALAC, AIFF, MIDI, WAV). All exports default to 44.1kHz for CD-quality output. Save your edits and export to your preferred workflow with confidence.

User Reviews

Let's Unmix is praised for its value and solid vocal/instrument separation, plus useful practice/export workflows and ongoing updates. However, users repeatedly report imperfect separation with artifacts, stability issues on certain devices, and a lack of clear onboarding guidance. Overall, sentiment is positive but reliability and usability improvements are desired.
Pros
  • One-time purchase with no ads or ongoing subscription, offering good value.
  • Strong stem separation (vocals, drums, bass) with a capable algorithm that many users find impressive.
  • Regular updates and ongoing development without a subscription.
  • Useful for practice and learning, allowing you to mute or isolate stems and then export to DAWs.
Cons
  • Stem separation is not perfect and can produce artifacts; not all instruments are fully isolated and some tracks load incompletely.
  • Stability issues including crashes on some devices and bugs introduced by updates.
  • Onboarding/UX lacks clear Instructions, making it hard to understand how to use the app without external guidance.

Just tried on iphone 15pro. First tried on ipad mini. Still keeps crashing. When it doesn’t crash, it creates muddled MIDI. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Big waste of money. I want a refund!!!
