Recent reviews
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Helcim. The company allowed me to process customer payments for weeks, only to suddenly place my account under review afterward. I provided everything they requested, including proof that my business has been active since 2017, New York State tax inception documents, and additional verification forms. After submitting all requested documents, they decided to close my account and informed me they would refund all of my customers instead of releasing my funds. This caused serious damage to my business. I already delivered products/services, invested my time, and expected to receive the money from legitimate sales. What makes the situation even worse is that many of my customers are everyday walk-in buyers. I do not have direct contact information for every person who made a purchase, so there is no clear way for me to confirm whether refunds will actually be received. This process has been stressful, unprofessional, and financially harmful to my business. I would strongly advise other business owners to be cautious before trusting this company with their payment processing.

I started using Helcim and the concept was great in theory but then they started holding my funds and the amount of paperwork and headaches they continuously require makes it just not worth it! If they require knowing what kind of risk you pose to them, then they should disclose this up front and require this BEFORE you use the app. Instead, they waited until I used their platform, thinking it was a reliable way to invoice my clients with the selling point of passing off fees to customers. So I sent the invoice, the client paid, and then Helcim held my funds I very much needed to pay my staff and operate my business for over 2 weeks! After holding my feet to the fire, I provided paperwork, bank statements, and information they required and finally got the funds released. Thinking this was a one time thing, I went to use the app again. Now they are requiring even more compliance paperwork and protocol to continue use using the app! Again, this should be disclosed up front, but instead they get you to use the app then hit us with these things holding our funds hostage and draining our time and productivity. Such a headache and consistently unreliable. I will just add on the processing fee in my invoice moving forward and remove this awful company from being a very unnecessary middleman.

Completely surprised that this platform doesn’t have 4.5 to 5 star average reviews. Everything about this has been great. Also, everything is automated and digital and user-friendly they still reached out to me on a personal level to make sure everything was going as planned. With the money we’ve saved using Helcim me and my wife are gonna take a vacation.
