Overall, Genius Mechanic is widely praised as a fun, creative sandbox with solid physics and freedom to build almost anything, plus a helpful workshop for sharing creations. The big recurring requests are for more content and space: bigger, more varied maps; more parts (gears, pulleys, bearings) and even weapons; better save/load reliability and workshop performance; fewer freezes/crashes; and the addition of multiplayer or competitive play. Taken together, the game has strong potential but players want stability, depth, and social features to sustain long-term engagement.

Pros

Fun sandbox with solid mechanics and physics that reward creativity.
Open-ended building lets you create almost anything you imagine.
Workshop/community for sharing and discovering other builds.
Wide range of buildable vehicles and machines (cars, planes, drones, etc.).
High creative potential and engaging gameplay for fans of mechanics.

Cons

Maps feel too small; need bigger or more varied testing environments.
Missing essential parts like gears, pulleys, bearings and other realism-enhancing components (and requests for weapons).
Save/load reliability issues and frequent workshop loading problems (lost saves, long loads).
Performance problems: freezes, crashes, and slow workshop loading on some devices.
No multiplayer and a steeper learning curve/ur UI could be clearer; desire for social features.

Recent reviews

This it a very fun game and the mechanics are good but the creator needs to bring back the weapons. I’ve seen them on YouTube from very recent and they have them, someone also has lights and this video was posted 2 weeks ago, but I don’t have them. There needs to be stronger motors and some other maps. There should also be some type of bearing or something like them. I think the creator has moved on from this game. Other then that the game may seem boring but if you love mechanics and are creative this is a very good game! I play it every day
